Water Treatment Specialist

A Water Treatment Specialist is needed to support the safe and effective operation of commercial water systems in Chester, Virginia. You'll carry out monitoring, treatment, inspection, cleaning, and disinfection activities across a range of water systems and equipment.
This hands-on role combines chemical and non-chemical water treatment with scheduled maintenance and compliance-focused work.
The Role
As the Water Treatment Specialist, you'll:
- Monitor daily water system performance and identify potential issues.
- Inspect cold water tanks and hot water storage systems.
- Complete scheduled service work in line with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Clean and disinfect showers, pipework, storage tanks, and cooling towers.
- Perform complex chemical and non-chemical water treatment activities.
- Follow established procedures and processes to complete work safely and accurately.
To be successful as the Water Treatment Specialist, you'll have:
- 2–5 years of relevant water treatment or related technical experience.
- Experience working with commercial equipment.
- A High School Diploma, GED, trade school diploma, or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with good attention to detail.
- The ability to climb stairs and ladders and lift or carry at least 50 lbs.
- Current US work authorization without present or future visa sponsorship requirements.
- $60,000–$80,000 annual salary, depending on skills, qualifications, and experience.
