Support safe, efficient building operations at a large financial institution as a Building Engineer. This hands-on role covers preventive maintenance, inspections and emergency repairs across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and life safety systems.
The Role
As the Building Engineer, you'll:
- Maintain and repair mechanical, plumbing, structural and building control systems.
- Complete preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on building machinery and equipment.
- Inspect fire alarms, HVAC and plumbing systems for reliable operation.
- Maintain the energy management program and support efficient system performance.
- Ensure work complies with safety codes, regulations and company requirements.
- Handle hazardous materials safely and maintain a clean workplace.
To be successful as the Building Engineer - Second Shift, you'll have:
- A high school diploma, GED, trade school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Four to five years of relevant job-related experience.
- Ability to climb ladders and lift or carry 50 pounds or more.
- Required local or state certifications and licenses, where applicable.
- Preferred Universal EPA/CFC certification and shift management or supervisory experience.
- Preferred Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management system experience.
- $84,500–$92,950 per year.
- Permanent employment.
- On-site position in Chester, VA.
- Second-shift working pattern.
