Maintenance Technician

This permanent, Maintenance Technician role involves maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems and equipment. You’ll support preventive maintenance, repairs and efficient building operations within an engineering and technical services function.
The Role
As the Maintenance Technician, you'll:
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs across mechanical, electrical and other building systems.
- Inspect equipment routinely, diagnose potential issues and complete necessary repairs.
- Assist with installing and modifying building equipment and systems.
- Review work orders and use available systems to track completion.
- Support energy management by keeping building systems operating efficiently.
- Check existing installations against building codes and safety regulations.
To be successful as the Maintenance Technician, you'll have:
- A high school diploma, GED, trade school diploma or equivalent education and experience.
- One to two years of relevant job-related experience.
- Ability to lift and carry loads weighing 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop and climb stairs or ladders.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong organization, clear communication and an inquisitive approach.
- $66,000 per year.
- Permanent position.
- First-shift working pattern.
- Role based in Chester, VA.
