Join an engineering and technical services team as a Maintenance Technician in Richmond, Virginia. In this role you'll be maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. This permanent second-shift role focuses on preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs.
The Role
As the Maintenance Technician, you'll:
- Complete preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
- Conduct routine inspections, diagnose potential problems, and complete necessary repairs.
- Assist with installing and modifying building equipment and systems.
- Review assigned work orders and track their completion using available systems.
- Support energy management by helping building systems operate efficiently.
- Inspect installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
To be successful as the Maintenance Technician, you'll have:
- A high school diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1–2 years of related experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders and lift or carry at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to follow established work routines, standards, procedures, and processes.
- Clear communication skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive approach to problem-solving.
- $66,000 annual salary.
- Permanent position.
- Second-shift working pattern.
- Role based in Richmond, VA.
