The Mobile Maintenance Technician (Door Technician) in Temple, TX maintains small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems and equipment, with a focus on fire and life safety doors. The role combines preventive maintenance with corrective repairs across building systems.
The Role
As the Mobile Maintenance Technician, you'll:
- Inspect, troubleshoot and repair fire and life safety doors to NFPA 80 standards.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical and other building systems.
- Maintain fire doors and other fire and life safety systems.
- Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
- Review work orders and use available systems to track completion.
- Inspect installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
To be successful as the Mobile Maintenance Technician, you'll have:
- A high school diploma, GED or trade school diploma and 1–2 years of related experience; a combination of education and experience may also be considered.
- The ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, and lift or carry 50 lbs. or more.
- The ability to follow basic work routines and standards.
- Clear communication skills and strong organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Current authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- $50,000–$53,000 per year.
- Permanent employment.
- Location: Temple, TX.
