As a Painter/Carpenter in Waco, TX, you'll maintain and repair structures across multiple commercial facilities. The work spans commercial painting, carpentry, and emergency repairs, with coordination across building users and stakeholders.
The Role
As the Painter/Carpenter, you'll:
- Carry out preventive maintenance and corrective repairs to building structures and grounds.
- Prepare, paint, touch up, and finish interior surfaces to commercial standards.
- Patch imperfections and apply primer, varnish, polyurethane, and specialty coatings.
- Build, dismantle, and repair walls, roofs, siding, scaffolding, and other structures.
- Assess work orders, estimate time and materials, and maintain repair records.
- Review drawings and coordinate repairs with employees, end users, and stakeholders.
- Respond to emergencies and follow safety procedures and HSE requirements.
To be successful as the Painter/Carpenter, you'll have:
- A high school diploma or GED, with up to two years of job-related experience.
- The ability to stand, walk, climb stairs or ladders, and lift 50 lbs. or more.
- The ability to follow established work routines and standards.
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and basic math skills, including calculating percentages and markups.
- $50,000–$52,000 per year.
- Permanent employment.
- Location: Waco, TX, with work across multiple facilities.
