A Union Boiler Operator is needed to maintain critical boiler and plant systems within a healthcare facility in Youngstown, Ohio. You'll help ensure heating and associated plant equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably to support continuous facility operations.

This hands-on role covers boiler operations, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and emergency response across a range of commercial and industrial equipment.

The Role

As the Union Boiler Operator, you'll:
  • Operate, monitor, maintain, and repair commercial and industrial boiler systems.
  • Maintain heating equipment across the healthcare facility.
  • Complete preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on boiler equipment.
  • Troubleshoot field conditions and complete necessary repairs and operational adjustments.
  • Inspect pumps, motors, cooling towers, generators, and associated plant equipment.
  • Maintain steam boilers, hot water boilers, burners, pumps, and valves.
  • Document maintenance activities and report completed work to your supervisor.
  • Respond promptly to equipment failures, evacuations, fires, and other emergencies.
About You

To be successful as the Union Boiler Operator, you'll have:
  • 4–5 years of relevant boiler operations or plant maintenance experience.
  • A High School Diploma, GED, trade school diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • A valid Ohio High Pressure Boiler Operator License or ability to obtain one after hire.
  • Experience maintaining commercial or industrial boiler and heating systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to make sound operational decisions.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and related applications.
  • The ability to climb stairs and ladders and lift or carry 50 lbs or more.
