We're recruiting for a Building Engineer (HVAC) to support a large industrial facility in Hutchinson, Minnesota. This hands-on role is ideal for an experienced HVAC professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex building systems, maintaining critical equipment, and delivering reliable facility operations.
Working across HVAC, refrigeration, chilled water, steam, and building automation systems, you'll play a key role in keeping a technically advanced industrial facility operating safely and efficiently.
The Role As Building Engineer, you will: - Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC, chilled water, steam, and electrical systems across the facility.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and reactive repairs to maximize equipment reliability and performance.
- Diagnose faults on HVAC/R equipment, including refrigeration units, chillers, boilers, rooftop units, and temperature-controlled systems.
- Monitor and operate Building Management Systems (BMS) while supporting energy efficiency and equipment optimization.
- Mentor team members and collaborate with engineering colleagues to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality maintenance services.
You To be successful in this Building Engineer role, you'll bring: - High School Diploma, GED, trade school qualification, or equivalent experience.
- 4-5 years' experience as a Building Engineer, Commercial HVAC Technician, HVAC/R Technician, or Maintenance Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, refrigeration, chilled water, and building automation systems.
- Experience using CMMS and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced industrial environment.
