A leading Facilities Management organization is seeking an experienced Facilities Director to lead operations at a large-scale residential community in Abilene, TX. This is a key leadership role for a Facilities Director who can take full ownership of site performance, drive operational excellence, and build a high-performing team.
The Opportunity
As Facilities Director, you will have full responsibility for all facilities and maintenance operations across the property. The Facilities Director will play a critical role in ensuring the asset is maintained to the highest standards while delivering an exceptional resident experience.
Key responsibilities include: - Leading all facilities and maintenance operations across the site
- Driving performance through effective work order management and service delivery metrics
- Reviewing and acting on operational reports, including inspections, compliance data, and outstanding work orders
- Managing budgets, capital planning, procurement, and vendor relationships
- Coaching and developing a facilities team, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
About You
The successful Facilities Director will bring a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership capability, and commercial awareness.
You will have: - A solid technical background across building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance
- Proven experience as a Facilities Director or senior facilities leader within residential, multifamily, or property management environments
- Strong financial and operational management experience, including budget ownership
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Experience with property management platforms such as Yardi (preferred)
- A track record of improving operational performance and team engagement
