Senior Business Development Director: Northeast Region

A leading global workplace solutions provider is seeking a dynamic Business Development Director to spearhead growth across East Brunswick, NJ; New York City, NY; and Stamford, CT. This pivotal role is part of our Sales function, where you'll be responsible for crafting and presenting innovative facility management and project management solutions to potential, new, and existing clients.

The Role As a Business Development Director, you’ll:
  • Lead and contribute significantly to all sales and marketing efforts, from initial lead generation through to comprehensive relationship management.
  • Secure new client accounts through diverse sales approaches, including cold calling and networking, and proactively identify potential client targets based on regional needs.
  • Develop and implement robust marketing and sales strategies and goals for your assigned area, region, or client type, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Oversee all aspects of business development/sales pursuits, including financial considerations, solution development, crafting winning strategies, leading all client-facing meetings, and conducting contract negotiations.
  • Act as a trusted thought partner and advisor to various business lines, offering expertise and strategic direction for their specific marketing and business development activities, including presentations and client-facing materials.
Your Skills To be successful in the role of Business Development Director, you’ll bring:
  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, or a combination of equivalent experience and education, with 8-10 years of relevant experience in sales, business development, and/or consulting.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate and facilities management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong organizational and analytical abilities, to deliver efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service.
  • Advanced financial knowledge, including the ability to comprehend terms and principles, and to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions.
  • A robust reasoning ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents, solve multifaceted problems, and apply advanced analytical and quantitative skills effectively.
