Boden Talent is partnering with a global, innovation-led organisation to appoint a Global Engineering Director in Mountain View, CA, to lead enterprise-wide engineering strategy and infrastructure across a complex, high-performance portfolio.
The Global Engineering Director will define and execute the long-term engineering vision supporting advanced R&D, product development, and mission-critical environments across multiple regions. This is a highly visible executive leadership role with responsibility for capital strategy, infrastructure reliability, governance, and organisational scale.
The Opportunity
As Global Engineering Director, you will build and lead a globally distributed engineering function aligned to long-term business growth.
Your remit includes:
- Defining global engineering and infrastructure strategy
- Overseeing significant capital programs, expansions, and technical design standards
- Ensuring resilience and performance of mission-critical systems
- Establishing governance, risk, compliance, and operational excellence frameworks
- Building and developing senior engineering leadership across regions
You will operate as a trusted executive partner to R&D, operations, workplace, EHS, and real estate leadership.
Experience & Profile
The successful Global Engineering Director will bring: - 15+ years of progressive engineering or infrastructure leadership in high-tech, advanced manufacturing, life sciences, or semiconductor environments
- Demonstrated ownership of large-scale, multi-region capital programs
- Deep expertise in mission-critical technical infrastructure
- Strong financial acumen with responsibility for major capital and operational budgets
- Experience leading complex, globally distributed teams
- Executive presence with the ability to influence at C-suite level
