Installation Manager


Are you an experienced operations leader with a background in installation, low-voltage, security, or technology services? A leading organization is hiring an Installation Manager in Chicago, Illinois. This senior leadership role will oversee installation teams and project performance while ensuring customers receive an exceptional experience from project kickoff through completion.
The Role As the Installation Manager, you’ll:
  • Lead and develop Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Installation Technicians.
  • Oversee installation projects from initial handoff through delivery, closeout, and transition to Service.
  • Partner with Sales and Engineering to review project scope, labor requirements, materials, and resources.
  • Monitor project financials, schedules, milestones, quality, and operational performance.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for customer, project, and field-related issues.
  • Conduct site visits and quality-control inspections to maintain installation standards.
  • Coach team members through regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and development plans.
  • Ensure project documentation, certifications, warranties, and closeout requirements are completed accurately.
  • Maintain compliance with company, customer, and health and safety requirements.
You To be successful in the role of Installation Manager, you’ll bring:
  • 2+ years of direct management experience leading installation, operations, or field-based teams.
  • Experience managing Project Managers, Technicians, or similar installation professionals.
  • Strong project, operational, and financial management experience.
  • Excellent customer-facing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience handling escalated customer and field issues.
  • A valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel to job sites, including occasional overnight travel.
  • Experience in security integration, access control, CCTV/video surveillance, low-voltage, electrical, telecommunications, construction, or technology installation is highly desirable.
  • PMP, Six Sigma, Agile, Waterfall, or similar project management experience would be an advantage.
