Are you an experienced Senior High Voltage / Low Voltage Electrical Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? We're recruiting for a Senior High Voltage / Low Voltage Electrical Engineer to join a mission-critical engineering team in Chester, Virginia.
This is not a traditional maintenance role. As the Senior High Voltage / Low Voltage Electrical Engineer, you'll be the technical authority for high and low voltage electrical systems, supporting critical infrastructure through engineering leadership, operational excellence and continuous improvement.
The Role
As the Senior High Voltage / Low Voltage Electrical Engineer, you will:
- Act as the technical subject matter expert for high and low voltage electrical systems.
- Develop switching procedures, safety programs and operational documentation, including SOPs, MOPs and EOPs.
- Lead planned electrical shutdowns, switching activities and commissioning projects.
- Review electrical designs and recommend improvements to system reliability and performance.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and support to engineering teams.
- Promote best practice in electrical safety, compliance and operational excellence.
About You To be successful as a Senior High Voltage / Low Voltage Electrical Engineer, you'll have: - Extensive experience with high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) power distribution systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical protection, switching operations and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Experience interpreting electrical drawings, schematics and single-line diagrams.
- Working knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70B and NFPA 70E standards.
- Experience supporting commissioning activities and planned electrical outages.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor engineering teams and influence key stakeholders.
