The Role As the Engineering Operations Manager, you'll:
  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of mechanical and electrical operations across a large commercial facility.
  • Set team objectives, manage performance, and mentor engineers and maintenance professionals.
  • Direct contractors, subcontractors and specialist engineering partners to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and engineering compliance programmes.
  • Support annual operating budgets while managing maintenance and operational costs.
  • Monitor engineering KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise performance.
  • Work closely with clients to support operational changes, business requirements and facility reconfigurations.
  • Contribute to capital planning, asset management strategies and long-term site improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, health & safety, engineering standards and company policies.
  • Support audits, technical investigations and change control processes while providing regular facilities management updates to stakeholders.
You To be successful in the role of Engineering Operations Manager, you'll bring:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline (preferred), or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3–5 years' experience within Facilities Management, Engineering Operations or Building Services.
  • Strong leadership experience managing engineering teams, contractors and third-party suppliers.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical building systems, preventative maintenance and asset management.
  • Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with experience reporting on engineering performance and KPIs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Professional membership with an engineering institution (such as CIBSE or IET) is advantageous.
