This role is part of our Engineering and Technical Services team and is crucial for maintaining medium to large-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment while enhancing our operational capabilities.
The Role As the Senior Maintenance Technician, you’ll:
- Maintain & Repair: Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
- Inspect & Diagnose: Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and implement necessary repairs.
- Install & Modify: Assist in the installation and modification of building equipment and systems, ensuring new installations comply with building codes and safety regulations.
- Manage Workflow: Assign work orders and estimate the time and materials required for specific repairs.
- Energy & Efficiency: Support energy management initiatives by ensuring all building systems operate at peak efficiency.
- Safety & Values: Lead by example by modeling core company values (Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence) and participating in all HSE-related programmes and safety audits.
To be successful in the role of Senior Maintenance Technician, you’ll bring the following:
- Education & Experience: A high school diploma or GED with at least one year of relevant experience or training.
- Communication Skills: The ability to interpret instructions, write routine reports, and respond professionally to enquiries from clients and supervisors.
- Technical Aptitude: Basic analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to calculate simple figures like percentages.
- Digital Literacy: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Outlook) and digital work order systems via personal computer or mobile device.
- Physical Capability: Ability to perform physical tasks including stooping, climbing ladders, and lifting/carrying loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Compliance: A valid driver's licence may be required.
