The Role As the Operations Manager, you will lead all aspects of soft services and vendor management for a large-scale manufacturing environment. You’ll:
- Oversee Integrated Services: Manage landscaping, janitorial, shipping/receiving, cafeteria, mailroom, waste/hazard, and lab garment services to ensure alignment with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure Regulatory Excellence: Maintain strict compliance with national codes and industry standards, including JCAHO, ISO 14001, and cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Optimize Vendor Performance: Lead existing and new outsource provider contracts and drive the Request for Proposal (RFP) process to ensure premier pricing and service levels.
- Champion Safety: Coordinate and implement safety programs in line with specific safety requirements, actively promoting a culture of safe work practices.
- Execute Facility Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of site facilities, documenting results and rectifying any issues or concerns promptly.
- Lead & Develop: Directly supervise and support a dedicated team of four reports.
You To be successful in the role of Operations Manager, you’ll bring:
- Education: A high school diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Industry Expertise: A minimum of 4 years of experience leading soft services operations specifically within the Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industry (Manufacturing experience is highly preferred).
- Technical Aptitude: Highly preferred technical engineering knowledge in HVAC, Mechanical, or Electrical/Plumbing within a Facilities Engineering context.
- Leadership: Proven experience in developing, mentoring, and growing high-performing teams.
