Maintenance Manager


Are you an experienced maintenance leader with a passion for safety, quality, and customer service? We are seeking a Maintenance Manager in Abilene, Texas, to oversee maintenance operations for a residential community supporting government and defense-related occupants. This role offers the opportunity to lead diverse teams, manage complex facilities, and ensure compliance with federal guidelines and Fair Housing requirements.

The Role

 
As the Maintenance Manager, you will:
  • Lead and supervise maintenance technicians and roads and grounds teams across daily operations and long-term planning.
  • Oversee general maintenance work including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, roofing, flooring, and exterior repairs.
  • Manage work orders, preventive maintenance programs, and emergency service responses to meet service level expectations.
  • Direct inventory control, procurement of supplies, and maintenance of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and OSHA logs.
  • Enforce safety, housekeeping, and compliance standards in support of a zero-harm safety culture.
You
 
To be successful in the role of Maintenance Manager, you will bring:
  • A high school diploma or GED (technical training or trade certifications strongly preferred).
  • At least three years of property or facilities management experience, including one year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, preventive maintenance programs, and facilities management best practices.
  • The ability to exercise sound judgment when assigning work and managing teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel (property management software experience preferred).
