About the Role As a Senior Account Director with
our client, you will lead the team responsible for delivering all key client commitments and driving operational excellence across the account.
Location: On-site in San Francisco
Function: Operations Management — supporting organizational goals through strategic coordination of staff and operational processes.
What You'll Do - Provide formal supervision and leadership to employees, ensuring ongoing training, development, coaching, performance evaluations, and support with recruiting and hiring.
- Oversee daily team activities, set work schedules, assign tasks, cross-train staff, and ensure department goals and deadlines are consistently met.
- Partner with senior sales leaders to define complex project requirements, explore solutions, assess risks, and ensure timely execution by the team.
- Secure and coordinate necessary resources to support projects and long-term operational plans.
- Manage relationships with large, high-profile clients, identifying opportunities for growth and continuous improvement within existing accounts.
- Review service-level performance reports to ensure client expectations are consistently achieved and exceeded.
- Troubleshoot escalated issues, working closely with senior internal and client stakeholders. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for key systems, processes, and project workflows.
- Lead and guide both the client and project teams regarding scope of work, ensuring ongoing delivery against contractual obligations.
- Apply broad business and operational knowledge to achieve departmental goals and improve cross-functional collaboration.
- Model company values and influence others to adopt best practices aligned with organizational policies and strategies.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical and operational challenges.
- Evaluate the wider impact of decisions across the department and implement improvements to processes, standards, and methodologies.
What You'll Need - Bachelor's Degree preferred, with 5-8 years of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience in staffing, selection, coaching, performance management, employee development, and retention is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive or complex information and set clear performance expectations.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams toward achieving broad operational goals.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Exceptional organizational skills and a naturally inquisitive, solution-oriented mindset.
