Maintenance Technician


Join a dynamic team as a Building Engineer in Denver, CO, and contribute to impactful building maintenance projects. You will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and repairing building system operations and the performance of various areas including plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.

The Role As a Building Engineer, you will play an essential role in maintaining and enhancing facility operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Systems Maintenance: Performing maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
  • Preventative Care: Implementing a preventative maintenance program to ensure building machinery meets or exceeds its rated life, while performing emergency repairs as needed.
  • Operational Standards: Reviewing inspections of fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure equipment operates within design capabilities and achieves client environmental conditions.
  • Energy Management: Maintaining an energy management program to ensure all building systems operate in the most efficient manner.
  • Safety & Compliance: Following departmental policies for the safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials while complying with all applicable codes and governmental regulations.
  • Leadership & Innovation: Applying in-depth knowledge to provide innovative solutions, coaching others within the discipline, and modelling behaviours consistent with core company values.
You To be successful in the role of Building Engineer, you’ll bring:
  • Experience: High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Certifications: Universal CFC certification is preferred, along with any licenses required by local or state jurisdictions.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages and fractions.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including stooping, climbing ladders, and lifting/carrying loads of 50 lbs or more.
  • Mindset: An advanced inquisitive mindset with the ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple information sources.
  • Leadership: Prior shift management or supervisory experience is preferred.
